What I Do
Retail is simple, the right product in the right place at the right times, however to do this you need the right people. My role as a Senior Regional Manager is to focus on people development. In order to achieve this I need to understand each person's way of working and level of competence in any given area, by doing so I can be effective in delivering the best form of support, training, advice and feedback to those people. This mentality has helped me progress through each management level within GAME, and my aim is to help others do the same.
Understanding what motivates my team is key. Continued review and openness to new ideas is essential in any Management position, listening to individual suggestions and opinions will frequently benefit the Region as a whole.
Working alongside other Departments, including Training, HR and Loss Prevention helps establish consistency of message across the board and provides invaluable support for a Senior Regional Manager. The aim for all is to work effectively so that the time spent with Customers and our Team members is not only productive but also enjoyable.
In a Company that has always encouraged honest feedback and openness, it is satisfying to face the challenges of Retail as part of a strong team. Sharing the successes and achievements is what GAME is all about.
